Miner was in the shop using a hand-held grinder to prep a metal surface. EE moved to another section and felt pain in lower back. EE was taken to a medical clinic, examined, given anti-inflammatory meds and released to light duty work. On June 19th EE returned to the clinic and was released to return to full duty work.

Employee was removing a tire from the rim using a tire tool. When tire broke loose from the rim the tire tool hit employee on the left cheek, approximately 2" below the eye. The result was a contusion and laceration on his cheek.

Employee was assisting in changing out a 4" check valve in the water piping to a log washer. A rope was used to aid in lowering the valve to the work platform. While lowering the valve it came loose from the rope, falling and hitting the employee on the left fore foot causing a contusion and bruising of the foot,
