Investigator narrative
THE VICTIM WAS DRIVING A GROVE RT 59S MOBILE CRANE, WITHOUT A LOAD, ON THE SURFACE MINE'S MAIN HAULAGE ROADWAY. THE CRANE ROLLED ONTO ITS LEFT SIDE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROADWAY, CRUSHING THE O PERATOR IN THE CONFINES OF THE OPERATOR'S COMPARTMENT. THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED ON A LEVEL ROADWAY THAT WAS STRAIGHT AND APPROXIMATELY 70 FEET IN WIDTH. THERE WERE NO EYEWITNESSES TO THE ACCIDEN
