EE WAS ASSISTING THE CHANGING OF CUTTING EDGES ON SCRAPER. WHEN HE HELPED LIFT A 40# PIECE OF STEEL, HE STRAINED A MUSCLE IN HIS LOWER BACK.

WORKER WAS ATTEMPTING TO HHOK UP THE SAFETY CHAIN FOR THE DRILL RIG,THE FREE END OF WHICH HAD BEEN PLACED IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT OF THE PORETABLE AIR COMPRESSOR. AS HE PULLED UP TO REMOVE T HE SAFETY CHAIN,HIS AHND STRUCK THE SHARP EDGE OF THE SPROCKET CAUSING A ONE INCH LONG CUT BETWEEN THE RIGHT THUMB AND FIRST FINGER WHICH REQUIRED FIVE STITCHES TO CLOSE.
