MECHANIC WAS ATTEMPTING TO START A DOZER BY SPRAYING ETHER FROM AEROSOL CAN ON THE ENGINE. AFTER SPRAYING THE ENGINE, HE SET THE CAN ON THE BATTERY CAGE, AND IT EXPLODED CAUSING 1 ST AND 2 ND DEGREE BURNS TO HIS FACE AND HEAD AND BURNS TO HIS EYES.
