Miner dropped an electric drill on his hand Thursday 5/24/2012. Results of his injury was a break to his hand. He did not tell his supervisor or seek treatment until he returned to work on 5/25/2012. Office was notified on 5/29/2012 that he will be off work until the hand is healed.

Employee rolled a rock off haul road to remove from travel area, strained a muscle, did not seek treatment at that time. That night he went to the dr. for pain & was released with instructions to use ice and Tylenol as needed. He went to the dr. night of 6/21, referred to Des Moines for further treatment, diagnosed torn bicep muscle 6/22 first missed day Scheduled for surgery 6/28

EMPLOYEE HAD GLOVES ON BUT STEEL WENT THROUGH. BY THE TIME THE DOCTOR PULLED THE STEEL OUT EMPLOYEE NEEDED 2 STITCHES. PUNCH WAS APPROXIMATELY 7" LONG (SNAP ON).
