Amrize Mid-America Inc. · Over-exertion (Not Elsewhere Classified)

The injured ee was climbing into loader at the beginning of the shift and felt a pull in the center of their back. The back got worse over the next few hours and the injury was called in. EE went to a clinic and given Rx muscle relaxer and put on modified duty. Per ee, nothing was different with how ee entered the loader. Acute muscle strain.

Employee was leaning on spray bar changing out screens when employee felt a tightness in chest. Confirmed non-remarkable x-rays on 5/7/21. Bruising to the chest only - prescriptions given (NSAIDs and muscle relaxers)

Employee was operating front end loader with windows closed when employee felt something in eye. The employee was unable to flush the foreign body out and went to a specialist. The foreign body was a piece of metal and was able to be removed through irrigation (it was not embedded). Employee was given prescriptive eye drops and returned to work full duty.

Technician was removing the left rear cab bolt from a 982M wheel loader using a 3/4" ratchet wrench. Technician was pulling ratchet when they felt a pain in lower abdomen area. Following morning, technician was in pain and went to emergency room. Technician was diagnosed with a hernia.
