THE INJURED WAS OPERATING A CHAINSAW CLEARING A DOWNED TREE THAT WAS LAYING AGAINST A SLOPE. WHEN THE EMPLOYEE CUT THE TREE AT ITS BASE, THE TOP OF THE TREE EXTENDING BEYOND THE CREST OF SLOPE FELL TO THE GROUND ALLOWING THE BASE OF THE TREE TO SWING UPWARD, STRIKING THE EMPLOYEE IN THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FACE. THERE WERE NO IMMEDIATE WITNESSES. CAUSE OF ACCIDENT IS SPECULATIVE.
