An Employee was assisting in replacing the cutter motor shield on the right side of the continuous miner when their left thumb was caught between the miner frame and the shield, causing a laceration that required four sutures.

Employee was climbing down steps from the launch area of HWM No. 1, when EE contacted the ground rolling EE's right ankle resulting in a sprain.
