Fall onto or against objects

During a section move, employee was conducting housekeeping and picking up hinge pins. When employee was on their way to place the pin on the power center, they accidentally tripped on a hinge pin and got their hands caught between the hinge pins and power center causing injury.

Employee opened an airlock door, and it blew shut, catching EE's hand between the doors.

Employee was using a grinder with a cutoff wheel, the grinder them jumped making contact with employee's left little finger. This contact caused a laceration that required suturing. The employee was wearing gloves at time of incident.

Struck against stationary object

Employee was pushing the roof bolter cable over to hang it and while pushing on the cable the employee's left hand slipped causing the left hand to strike a roof bolt plate resulting in a laceration. The employee was wearing gloves at time of incident.

Employee was using a slate bar to remove a rock and the bar slipped pinching EE's left ring finger causing a fracture on the tip. Employee was wearing gloves at the time of occurrence.

Employee was removing rock from the continuous miner, at which time the rock slipped striking EE's left index finger causing a laceration. Employee was wearing gloves at the time of incident.

Employee was hanging cable, the cable slipped causing a rope hanger hook to strike EE's nose causing a laceration.

Employee was loading supplies when they felt a strain in their right shoulder. Employee went to LRMC and was x-rayed and released to return to work the next shift. Employee went for follow up on 12/28/2022 and was ordered to see a orthopedic and was written off work effective 01/03/2023 resulting in days away from work.

Employee was injured when a piece of draw rock fell and struck EE's right hand.
